Your Clinical Team
Every session is led by a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy — not a tech, not an aide. You get expert eyes and expert hands, every visit.
Lead Therapist & Founder
Doctor of Physical Therapy
Tammy founded Accessible Physical Therapy with a single conviction: that high-quality, one-on-one PT should be within reach of every patient in Pensacola — regardless of insurance status, mobility challenges, or prior experience with PT.
Her approach is evidence-based and patient-driven. She spends time understanding not just your injury, but your goals — whether that's returning to competitive sport, keeping up with your grandchildren, or simply getting through the workday without pain.
Tammy holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and brings focused clinical expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation, post-surgical recovery, and neurological conditions including stroke and Parkinson's disease.
Our Clinical Philosophy
High-volume PT clinics push patients through 45-minute sessions with a tech doing most of the work. That's not how we operate.
Your treating therapist is with you for the full session. No handoffs to aides mid-treatment. The person who evaluates you is the person who treats you.
We start every evaluation by asking what you want to do that you currently can't. Recovery is measured against your goals — not just a pain scale.
We tell you upfront how many visits we expect your case to need. We don't stretch treatment unnecessarily. When you're ready to be discharged, we discharge you.
Understanding what's happening in your body reduces fear, reduces pain, and accelerates recovery. We teach, not just treat.
Training & Standards
Degree
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) — the terminal clinical degree in PT since 2015. Requires 3 years of graduate training beyond an undergraduate degree.
License
Florida Physical Therapist License — issued and regulated by the Florida Department of Health. Maintained through continuing education every two years.
Scope
Florida allows direct access to PT without a physician referral. Our therapists are trained to screen for conditions outside PT scope and refer when appropriate.
Evidence
Treatment decisions are driven by current clinical research, CPGs (clinical practice guidelines), and patient-reported outcomes — not habit or tradition.
